Insil Choi is an illustrator with a passion for science. Born in 1987 in Pohang, South Korea, she is interested in creating compelling and informative visual communication for scientific subjects.

She received a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design where she studied both science and art coursework. Her past experience includes working at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Massachusetts for the Encyclopedia of Life project in 2013. Her illustrations were published as covers on prominent science journals, Nature and Cell in 2015. 

Her ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between science and the public through art. She currently lives and works in Boston, MA.
